Dai Jin (1388-1462), his courtesy name is“Wenjin”or ”Wenjie”and his art name “Jingan”or ”Yuquan Shanren”. He was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. As the founder of “the School of Zhe”in Ming dynasty, he was a master of all kinds of paintings, namely, landscape, Buddha, figures, animals, flowers, fruits, features and so on. His work was recognized as consummate art and was followed by many descendants. His landscape paintings usually include character activities and are of diverse styles. His masterpieces include “the Returning Boat in a Storm”.
